Brea is a city located in Orange County, California, about 33 miles southeast of Los Angeles.  It has a fascinating history that was

In 1911, with oil production at its core, the villages of Olinda and Randolph merged together to form Brea, whose name was derived from the Spanish word for “oil” or “tar”. If you’d rather not be indoors, only about three blocks from the mall is Brea’s newly refurbished Downtown area.  This is a great shopping alternative, allowing you to enjoy the sunshine as you browse. The area is small and compact, but has convenient parking and all the essentials.  For instance, there are a variety of restaurants and shops, as well as a movie theater with an extensive selection of films. There are also a great wide range of coffee shops and sidewalk cafes, which allow patrons to become part of the street scene and take in the casual, pleasant atmosphere. Brea also has plenty of natural beauty, with Carbon Canyon Park being one of the city’s best attractions. This is a large, well-manicured park containing redwood trees, picnic areas and opportunities for fishing and hiking. The bustle of nearby Los Angeles and the mild climate makes parks such as Carbon Canyon, the perfect secret hideaway. Brea has average high temperature of 88F (33C) and average low of 55F (12C) with an average rainfall of only about 3 inches per year. As you can see, there are many reasons why people may want to consider Brea as a place to live and work. It is currently regarded as a retail hub and is in proximity to Los Angeles and world-renown tourist attractions.
